Thanksgiving Victory

This month, my wife and I celebrate 15 years of marriage. What a thing to be thankful for! This anniversary is very special to us because the anniversary happens to be the same day as thanksgiving this year. What a kiss from heaven on us! This reminds me of two things-- covenant and gratitude. Did you know that the Lord is serious about the covenant we have with Him and he wants us to praise Him. We are to give thanks like we already have what's available to us in that covenant. Thanksgiving is a sweet reminder that the LORD is faithful and a covenant keeping God. God wants us to live thankful daily, not just on one day. Thanksgiving means that we already have the victory and we are giving praise to the LORD for what he has already done. He has already done everything through the cross. Jesus has made a covenant available to all that have chosen to believe in Him and this covenant comes with both a promise and an oath. If someone has already given you something, what do you do? YOU THANK THEM for it, right? This is what we are to do daily. We are to thank God for what he has already done through Jesus. This is the victory! When we can praise and give thanks we know that we already have the victory in Jesus's name! Stay encouraged in faith and know that thanksgiving is the victory! GIVE THANKS IN ALL THINGS and watch the Lord work because you are in covenant with the one that has already provided everything you need!
1 Corinthians 15:57
"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ"
1 Thessalonians 5:18
"give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus".
