Made with Pleasure and Perfection: With All that I Am, Praise the Lord

As we live, move, and have our being (Acts 17:28), we must understand that the grandest part of life is that God created us with His pleasure and purpose in mind. He desires that even our thought life be pleasing to Him (Psalm 104:34). Walking in this truth requires faith, yet the reward is partaking in the same "good reports" and testimonies described in Hebrews 11 and 12.

Faith is a powerful concept to master—a tool for massive restoration. Here are three ways faith works in our lives:

1. Faith Keeps Our Eyes On Christ

Hebrews 12:1-3 encourages us to run our race with endurance by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. By focusing on Him, He perfects who we are. This Christ-mindedness allows us to praise God with every part of our being.

2. Faith is an Action That Speaks for You

Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as "substance" and "evidence." As a teacher, I think of the states of matter—solids, liquids, and gases—but faith sits in a category of its own. Its evidence can be inward, outward, spiritual, or supernatural. Aligning with God’s will through faith brings things into existence that were previously unseen.

3. Your Faith is Needed

Hebrews 11:39-40 notes that while the faithful of old earned good reputations, they could not reach perfection without us. God, in His wisdom, designed a specific place for us in this journey of faith. Just as the Apostle Paul recognized God’s perfect timing for his own life (1 Corinthians 15:8), we must trust that God is faithful. He wants us to use our faith to build a testimony of His greatness.

In closing, Psalm 104 begins and ends with the same focus: a life lived in praise, honor, and fulfillment unto God. Your faith is essential, and remember that faith works through love. Let us align ourselves with God’s good plan to disrupt the enemy’s designs. Go forth in the faith that speaks, praising Him with all that you are in Christ.
