Confident in God's Care for us in Christ

In the Book of Galatians, the reader learns through Paul's letter to the churches of Galatia of how some believers were convinced of another Gospel that is not what Paul shared with them. Paul informs them in Gal 1:11 that the message that he preached to them was not based on mere human reasoning, but faith in God through Christ (Gal 3:23-29). In Galatians 3:2-18, Paul explains the purpose of the promise of God through Christ to Abraham. Even referring to this deception with these words, "who has bewitched them to not obey the truth of God's word?" (Gal 3:1) and how they were being misled to believe another gospel so soon! Paul was bewildered that they started to follow another gospel so soon! Paul also reassures those believers in the church of Galatia of God's intentional way of working things together to bring confidence in the word preached by saying that the message was a direct revelation given to him directly from Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:15-24).

In Galatians 5:22 he is concerned about the kind of fruit we produce in our lives. Therefore, in order to bear much fruit, one must take hold of the gospel that is preached! Paul is saying that we must learn to live by faith and not by the law—following the leading of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:25). In order to be confident in God's care for us, we must

1. Hold on to the message that we hear and receive of the gospel.

2. Study the Fruit that we Produce.

3. Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

We produce what we feed ourselves. We must hear and receive the gospel to bear the fruit of the gospel. However, it just doesn't stop there, we must also follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. I believe we are in a season to where God wants us to bear much fruit! You've heard the word and I pray that you have received the word! Now, it's time to follow the leading of the HOLY SPIRIT. God cares for you and HE is waiting on you to receive what He has to say, apply what He says, and follow the leading of His spirit continuously so that you can continue to bear much fruit! Don't get weary in doing well, the Lord wants you to have everything you both need and desire. He cares for you and wants you to be confident that HE cares for you. God is intentional about what He desires for us in our life. He has not forgotten about you and He is interested in your daily life. He wants you to be confident that He cares for you. He doesn't want you to be deceived, that's the enemy's job. God wants you to be assured, and He has already made a plan to involve YOU through the finished work of Jesus Christ. BE CONFIDENT in HIM because He already made the promise to care for you, all you have to do is follow Him.

Galatians 3: 1- 9

1O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

² This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

³ Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

⁴ Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.

⁵ He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

⁶ Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

⁷ Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

⁸ And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

⁹ So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
